Jazz and Rock Guitar

Growing up near St. Paul, Minnesota, Aaron began playing guitar at age 12, and was performing in local bands by the time he reached high school. He moved to Chicago in 2014 to pursue a degree in jazz studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Aaron regularly performs throughout the Chicagoland area with groups ranging from jazz trios to top 40 cover bands. 

Aaron’s teaching style reflects his vast range of musical influences. Tailoring lessons to students musical interests, he seeks to get students playing the music that they love while teaching the fundamentals of technique and music theory. His teaching philosophy emphasizes good practice habits and strong work ethic. He seeks to instill a lifelong passion for music by giving students the tools to express themselves through their instrument.
