Mr. Agustin Chacin

Brass Studies

Agustin is an instrumentalist and music educator who is originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela. With a passion for the arts, he has taught in the Chicagoland area in K-12 classroom settings and in the community with programs such as People's Music School.

His primary instrument is the euphonium (15+ years), and he has a special affinity for teaching students who play trumpet, euphonium, trombone, and tuba. He's taught students at all school-ages, both in private and group settings, and he looks forward to partnering with young musicians in developing confidence and identity through excellence in performance while more importantly, developing a life-long love for music.

His educational background includes his study of music education at Northwestern University's Bienen School, where he spent much of his studying with its world-famous brass faculty and performing choral, brass ensemble, and wind band music.
