Ms. Xiaoke Guo

Violin and Piano

Violinist Xiaoke Guo is a versatile musician enjoying a career in multiple music genres, from classical to contemporary.  She began to play violin when she was 9 years old. After graduating from Renmin University of China with a B.A. in Music Performance in May 2013, she received a scholarship from the University of Cincinnati, where she studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, focused on Music Performance. Her teacher includes Kurt Sassmanshaus, Keqiang Sui, and Gefang Yang. Ms. Guo holds a performing diploma from Roosevelt University, where she studied under Artist Prof. Yuanqing Yu.

Ms. Guo has performed as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician with a variety of symphonic and chamber orchestras from her native China and the US, as well as Beijing, Cincinnati, and Chicago.

As a professional orchestral musician, Xiaoke Guo has performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Chicago Composers Orchestra, the China National Ballet Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony , Orchestra of Iowa, the Northern Lights Music Festival, and  Chicago Summer Opera among others.
